Right at the beginning of the summer, when school seemed far away, I did this commission for a teacher’s gift.

i’m so jealous of your handwriting! my handwriting is only a bit nicer when i write slowly. what kind of pen you like to use?
For this piece I used both pointed and broad edged steel nibs. For most of the twirly writing I use pointed nibs. If I need the work to be large I draw the letters in pencil and fill them in with ink, paint or a sharpie.
I usually write in guache. It is more fluid than ink.
